Following a severe drought, Testigo Africa committed to raising funds to provide safe, clean water to the village. I visited with founder Tracey Sawyer to create images they could use in promoting the charity and publicising their cause. It was a new challenge for me, two quick visits to the village, one of them to take the pictures. Having no control over either the time of day or what we did, it was a real baptism of fire, but whetted my appetite to do more voluntary photographic projects.
